Title: ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER - Leave Replacement

Anticipated Start Date: June 8, 2026

Anticipated End Date: November 27, 2026

Pay Scale: NBTA Contract

Description: Provide school social work services to students who are at-risk for school failure and/or are demonstrating social/emotional/behavioral problems within the school setting; provide regularly scheduled IEP and AIS counseling services for students; provide comprehensive school social work services to parents, students and school staff; work with teachers, therapists and other staff to provide ongoing guidance regarding interrelationship of child's home and community environment with the school setting; work collaborative with the team to provide the appropriate services the child, family and staff needs; respond to referrals from school administration, parents, teachers, the Early Intervention Team, the Special Education Committee and others; assist families in accessing appropriate community resources. 

Daily Substitute Teacher
  • Follow lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students
  • Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each individual student
  • Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground and in the cafeteria
  • Provide in-class and at-home assignments based on the available lesson plan
$125.00/Day
