Elementary School Nurse | | Title: School Nurse Pay scale: Based on NBTA Contract Start Date: August 27, 2025 Description: The school nurse provides immediate general first aid to the students, staff, and visitors at the school. They review immunization and physical exam records and arrange school physicals for students as required by school policy for those who do not choose to be examined by a private physician. They provide mandatory screenings as required by law and dispense medication to students as indicated by the doctor's prescription. The school nurse keeps the Building Principal(s) and the Executive Director of Pupil Personnel Services and Special Education Services apprised of building and student health and wellness issues. They communicate with parents and teachers concerning student health. They provide organization and coordination in the delivery of healthcare services within the district, in collaboration with healthcare providers, administrators, teachers, parents and other staff.
